You are what you drink

Water is the fountain of youth, and the elixir of life.

When you were born you were about 90% water. Think about it, that is allot of water. and when you are born, you are fully alive.

At the moment you are around 70% water.

When your body reaches 50% water, you are clinically dead.

We lose about 2.5 litres of water every day, through normal functioning, we need to get that back through our food, our skin and through drinking water.

Most people don't drink enough water, and water is life.
To make it easy, water is involved in most bodily functions, and if you want them to function well you want your body to stay hydrated with new fresh water.

Most people are chronically dehydrated, this shows up in various ways, everything from asthma and IBS to headaches and dry skin.

If you are overweight you can usually lose easy kilos by just starting drinking the right amount of water.

Your body needs about 1,5 - 2 litres per day to function normally, if you loose allot of liquid due to exercise or hot weather, more might be good. the more you weigh the more you need. and depending on your state of dehdration, and how dry your food is you might need, much more.

Start your day with plenty of water

Before you leave bed in the morning, drink a large glass of water (the larger the better) first thing in the morning...

Drinking warm water in the morning is also very helpful and cleansing for the system.

Drink a minimum of half a litre of water in the morning, before you eat anything.

Drink water throughout the day, and in-between meals, don't drink anything with meals.

Choose water:
when someone offer you something to drink: ask for water
when you are feeling thirsty: ask for water
when you are feeling a bit peckish or want a treat: drink water

the brain signal for thirst has been so confused in most people, that instead of drinking water we eat something. knowing this, next time: drink water first!
if you are still hungry, 15 minutes later, sure have a fruit : )

Signals that you are not getting enough water:
your urine isn't transparent: drink water, your urine should always be transparent.
you feel thirsty: drink water, when you feel thirsty you are already dehydrated.
difficulty concentrating: drink water.
constipation: you are chronically dehydrated, drink water.
short rapid breathing
cramping in the muscles
etc.

the list is long and can get longer, just google and though shall see, it is all due to water... you need it to live.

The better the water you drink the better your health.

sadly our water supply is polluted heavily, and we have gotten it very wrong when we clean our water with chlorine, and in many places around the world add fluoride. Both additions are truly toxic, and is taxing our body. so the cleaner water you can drink the better... good to know, fight fluoridation of the water supply if/when it comes to your region. it is (still?) illegal to put it in the water supply according to EU mass medication laws, however, hasn't stopped them going ahead in areas in the UK.

One can buy water cleaning/purification systems, which can help in cleaning the water you drink.

But for a beginning, just increasing your water will do wonders.

remember, you are made of water, you need it to live.

Don't fool yourself drinking drinks that has water in it. if it isn't just water, your body won't use it as water.

to water, to life!
water is life!

much love
